What is ISRC code?

The International Standard Recording Code (ISRC) system is the international system for the identification of recorded music and music videos. Each ISRC is a unique identifier that can be permanently encoded into a recording or music video. Encoded ISRCs automatically identify recordings for PPL payments. Each track needs an ISRC code. These are sometimes embedded during the mastering process, however, we can also provide them to you free of charge. You can insert your own if you have them, or allow us to generate them for you. ISRC codes generally look like this and are 12 digits in length: DGDIT1312345
