Whats the difference between Youtube & VEVO?

If you want to process your channel with DigiTunes, you will get your own channel that will be your artist profile on vevo.com. The channel name should have maximum 20 character including vevo. Remember that once the channel is requested you can not change the name.
Will I be able to log in to my VEVO channel?
No, VEVO manages all the created channels. Requested changes (i.e. images or social links) should be submitted via email.

ou cannot create a promoter VEVO channel. You will need to create a channel for each artist.
If I already have a YouTube Channel can I merge my views to my new channel?
No, your new channel is separate from your existing channel, for this reason views cannot be merged. If you’d like to direct all your viewers to your VEVO page you can remove your video from YouTube or you can keep the video on both sites.
Which platforms will my video be published on?
In addition to YouTube your videos will be published on all Vevo supported platforms including: VEVO.com, the mobile web, Mobile and Tablet Apps (iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8, Kindle Fire), Connected Television (Apple TV, Xbox, Roku, Boxee, Samsung TV) and user embeddable video players.
What is required to publish a video through DigiTunes?
- Our client needs to have full copyrights for the video content
- The video needs to have an ISRC which uniquely identifies it
- A video source file in any of the following formats: (.mov | .wmv | .avi | .mpg | .mpeg | .mp4 | .png | .flv)
- A video and artist image
- A YouTube channel(will be created by DigiTunes)
Can I have text and graphics in my video?
Vevo does not allow any text/ graphics displayed before the video begins or after the video ends, no text occupying the lower third corner of the video (chyrons). Your video should be clean at all times.
Please ensure that your videos do not include the following:
- Chyrons – Text occupying the lower third corner of a video
- Logos – Label/Company logos
- Rolling Credits – Scrolling credits at the end of a video
- Social Links
If your video includes any of the above items, please edit and remove them before uploading the file
How will distributing my video with DigiTunes differ from just uploading to YouTube ?
When you distribute your videos through DigiTunes your videos do not just get published to YouTube but are published to every Vevo platform. This allows your videos to be reached by a wider range of audiences. The result of this is increased video view counts and a greater revenue earning potential.
How do DigiTunes clients earn revenue from there published videos?
Every video published through DigiTunes is monetized. Ads are randomly served against videos on YouTube and Vevo Platforms. DigiTunes does not have control over how many ads are served against a video as this is purely a random selection process. Clients are paid for revenue generated from their content when revenue amount exceeds $100. The standard method of payment is by direct deposit. There will be an extra charge for any payment methods other than direct deposit.
How do I get paid?
Reporting begins 90 days after your video is published, once your account exceeds $100 payment will be issued. Going forward royalties are paid monthly.
